Picture perfect Palisade, a century-old village with a rich agricultural history, sits at the east end of the Grand Valley. Nestled up against the Bookcliffs and the Grand Mesa, Palisade’s proximity to Colorado’s Ski Country in winter, and great camping, hiking, hunting and fishing the rest of the year make it a perfect home base for outdoor sports enthusiasts.

Palisade is also home to most of Mesa County’s vineyards and wineries, and boasts a 25-mile Fruit & Wine Byway, a bike route along country roads taking cyclists from winery to orchard to winery. Mountain bike trails can take riders up into the mountains, starting on the Palisade Rim Trail, or to the top of the Bookcliffs and the Wild Horse home range north of I-70.

A real honest-to-goodness small town, Palisade is host to many popular festivals throughout the year such as the Bluegrass and Roots Music Festival in June, the Colorado Mountain Winefest in September, and the world famous Palisade Peach Festival in August of each year.

Although the town population swells into the thousands during the festival weekends, Palisade is actually a small, family-friendly hometown with great schools, beautiful scenery and friendly neighbors, a great place to call home.
